• Notes: MiO‘s already hooked us up with the official NXNE 2014 app and now they’re getting even more mobile (not to mention original) – this time with the MiO Squirtcar. The MiO Squirtcar will transform your regular commute along Queen Street into a much better, more musical one (headphone wearing not withstanding.) A redesigned streetcar serves as an official venue for NXNE 2014, with Reggie Watts, The Pizza Underground, Har Mar Superstar, Small Black, araabMUZIK, and much more amongst the four-day selections. Wednesday, June 18th: 9:30 pm – Har Mar Superstar (@ Dufferin) / 10:30 pm – LIZZO (@ McCaul) / 11:30 pm – Veronica Vasicka (@ Dufferin) / 12:30 am – Army Girls (@ McCaul) Board the MiO Squirtcar at Queen & Dufferin or Queen & McCaul and it’ll take you to MiO House at The Hoxton. You can ride the streetcar for a full set (i.e. one artist’s performance) and then you’ll need to hop off. It’s kind of like you’re in your teenage years and this is a ride at Wonderland: you can get back on the MiO Squirtcar again, but will need to go to the back of the line in order to ride it again. MiO squirtcar You don’t even need to worry about getting a transfer or token to hop aboard. All you need is your NXNE Badge/Wristband, available here. That being said, like any rush hour commute – space aboard the MiO Squirtcar is extremely limited. Capacity is limited to 100 people per set.
